Proverbs 31:25 "She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future."
The location of Camp Ton-A-Wandah provides a deeply spiritual connection to God. We desire that every person who steps through our gate has a moment to take in God's beautiful creation around them. Our desire is to help equip campers with values and tools that will help them become women described in Proverbs 31:25. We want them to be able clothe themselves with strength and dignity and to be able to carry that with them wherever life takes them. The foundation of our program is built upon the values of humility, forgiveness, gratitude, respect, and love. With these values, we hope to encourage our young women to not only be lights at Camp Ton-A-Wandah, but to be inspirations to the world around them.
On Sundays we have the honor of all coming together to have service in the outdoor chapel. The chapel is a place that any young woman can come and sit and have "moments of quiet, where she can question her soul and find herself" (TAW Creed). As we walk down to the chapel all dressed in our green and whites, we leave behind our difference and enter the chapel as equals. This is a demonstration of our belief that together we create one sisterhood and one body. During Chapel, we celebrate the values of Ton-A-Wandah by hearing from staff and campers about how they have found their faith. Our hope is that all our campers will grow this summer not only mentally, relationally, but also spiritually.
Ton-A-Wandah welcomes campers and staff from all faith backgrounds. We want to provide a safe space for every young woman to explore her personal faith and spirituality. We also offer the option for our campers to attend Mass at Immaculate Conception in town in addition to chapel if they so desire. If you have any inquiries, please contact us through phone or email.
